Appearance: 5’11 with short brown hair and misty green eyes. He’s of average build and maybe a little on the skinny side. Usually seen in jeans and a blue button up with a white undershirt.
Personality: For all intents and purposes, Eric is a perfectly normal 21 year old student from the University of Portland. He’s friendly, quick to make friends and boyishly charming even though he gets a little tongue tied in the presence of a pretty girl. Since surviving his experience in Silent Hill, he has developed massive paranoia and a series of ticks, getting very jumpy in high pressure situations, occasionally twitching near any body of water larger than a bathtub, or fear of the sound of a boat horn for example.

Born in Silent Hill, he was orphaned at a young age and was sent to live with his Uncle and Aunt. His parent’s deaths are surrounded with mystery and are allegedly connected to cult activity though it was officially written off as burglary. He has since grown up and attends University in Portland Oregon , occasionally coming back to visit his Aunt and Uncle in Brahms (the next town over from Silent Hill).
His great-grandfather was the Capitan of Vessel Little Baroness, a river Ferry which mysteriously disappeared in Toluca Lake. He is close friend’s with Tina Townshend and they are the only survivors of their group’s experience in Silent Hill. (Assuming you get the good ending. Tina is nowhere to be found in the bad ending.)

He was an avid member of his University’s Occult and Urban Legend Society who’s exploration trip brought him to Silent Hill in 2007 after hearing about it’s supposedly haunted Toluca Lake. The legend closely ties into his own family history as his great-grandfather was the Capitan of the Ferry that disappeared almost 90 years earlier.
At first the trip seemed perfectly normal but he was soon sucked into the mass chaos that is Silent Hill.
After working his way though what could only be described as several layers of other people’s guilt and personal tragedy, Eric found himself having to deal not only with his own demons but also the demons of previous victims to Silent Hill and as such, he was frequently accosted by both The Red Pyramid Thing and Robbie The Rabbit. In the middle of this was a young girl named Emily [a reincarnation of a girl named Hannah who was thrown overboard by her mother on the Ferry]. She disappeared and was later found in an underwater cavity but it was too late. He and Tina had failed to save her from the ghost of her mother. Had they succeeded the nightmare would have ended.
Eric was found a week later by local officials stumbling deliriously around the bank of Toluca Lake with a broken radio. He blames himself for the death of his friends and being unable to save Emily. So shaken up by the experience, he was forced to quit school and move back home to be cared for by his Aunt. Eventually the stress was too much for her and he was admitted to Brookhaven Hospital where he stayed for roughly a year before being sent to Malaise House for private care.
Symptoms Your Character Experiences (If Any): Insomnia. He experiences vivid dreams [when and if he falls asleep] usually involving the act of drowning or The Vessel Little Baroness and Emily/Hannah. These can sometimes translate into hallucinations triggered by being near mass quantities of water or sometimes even a full bathtub. Thus, he refuses to take baths and will only shower in places like changing rooms which drain directly into the floor. Eric is afraid of boats, complete darkness, and most anything rusted. He is badly affected by the cold weather and can experience mood swings as a result.
